East Kilbride Town Centre
East Kilbride hosts the largest indoor shopping and leisure centre in Scotland, boasting over 250 shops, leisure facilities and eateries. Spread over more than 1 million sq ft, the centre has been growing for more than 30 years.
The latest and 6th development phase of the shopping centre is the Centrewest mall, now standing where the Centre One Tax
Office used to reside before its demolition in 1996. With the new addition, the shopping centre now contains 6 full malls including Centrewest (2003), Princes Square (1997), Southgate (1989), Olympia (1988), Princess Mall (1984) and The Plaza (1972).
On the fringe of the Shopping Centre is the main East Kilbride bus station, also recently upgraded. As part of the Centrewest development the parking facilities were also upgraded so access has never been easier.
